I can't answer for Jojo, but the Resort gave Doppelling a home. Doppel was wandering a really long time without a host or some where to belong. The Resort was super duper kind.

I think I do remember seeing the Outsider and Appy before, but it's like sharing a public space with a stranger. You don't really think about them other than existing in the same place, you know? So I don't really have a clear memory of them or didn't really care about them until the Resort asked me to find them.
