[Perhaps one wouldn't expect Minato to be out and about after all of that--but one would be wrong! Here he is! Knocking quietly at Makoto's door, expression firm and quiet and calm.

(This is how he copes.

[she opens the door, looking a little worse for wear but. When she sees Minato, she studies him for a moment]

Minato-- are you alright?

[she's expecting no]

[messianic]

[Silly Makoto, he's a protag. He drags in a shaky breath, and nods.]

...Yeah, I'm alright.

[...]

I... just wanted to come check on you.

[justfists]

... You don't look alright.

Minato, do you want to come in for a minute?

[messianic]

... Yes, okay.

[He nods--because honestly, he still wants to check on Makoto, and he doesn't want to be alone right now either. So obediently, he steps in and...tries to think of something to say.]

[justfists]

[it's okay, just like with Akira before, she turns to give him a hug.]

.... I'm sorry.

[messianic]

... Ah.

[He wasn't expecting the hug, and a quiet noise of soft surprise does escape him--and then, quietly, he just lifts his arms to wrap them around Makoto quietly in return.]

... I'm sorry too. I'm sorry...that all of this happened.

[justfists]

[she isn't going to just let him go like this. she recognizes the look, unfortunately. she's seen it with Akira.]

... We can be sorry together. Mm... I was wondering...

[messianic]

[In all honesty, he's not going to pull away. He's not generally a touchy-feely guy, but this is an exception. This... is comforting.]

[she can understand that, but it feels right, in this instance.]

... Would you like to stay with Akira and myself tonight?

[messianic]

Yeah... I'd like that.

[He offers a small, small smile.]
